(More customer reviews)I bought this faucet in 2004 and just love it! However, there have been 2 problems that I have encountered with it. Firstly, the large nut at the base of the swivel water spout comes loose over time because of the swiveling back and forth, I presume. Eventually the nut comes completely loose and to my surprise (it's always a shock when it happens)the force of the water shooting up causes the spout to fly off the base and a geyser of water shoots up in the air. It's easy enough to repair by screwing the nut back on, however it has happened many, many times during the first couple of years. For some reason, it hasn't happened in the last few years. I called the company and they were NOT the least bit cooperative. They would have accepted a return of the faucet but, hey, I would have had to have the plumber come out and remove the faucet (and charge me another 100 bucks) and what was I going to replace it with in the meantime since the old one was thrown out? So I let it go.
The second problem I am having now is a drip. This faucet is supposed to NOT drip.
I have no idea how to repair it and neither do any of the plumbers I have called to have a look at it. The supply house I purchased it from has no idea either. My only hope I was told was to contact the company, Newport Brass. That has been a problem since all I ever get when I call them is a busy signal (not a good sign). I have finally resorted to emailing them thru their website. I hope this gets me that much closer to getting the drip taken care of.
