(More customer reviews)This is one well-constructed faucet that is highly functional and particularly good for individuals wanting or needing a lever control. The workmanship is solid; the unit appears to be all metal as opposed to some other brands which have incorporated plastic as the material from which the nozzle is constructed. The compact footprint of this faucet and the front lever make it ideal for areas where space is tight and operating the controls may be restricted by a wall or bar counter. The side spray is solid and works extremely well when needed to rinse out your kitchen sink. I replaced a Jado faucet which had the sprayer incorporated into the faucet with this Grohe model. Since I rarely use a sprayer, I thought I would like the combination unit; however, I found it to be awkward to use, aand difficult to pull out and reinsert. Further, the o-ring that sealed the sprayer into the faucet arm broke off after only three years. If you are someone who regularly uses a sprayer, you should reconsider any decision to purchase a combination of faucet and sprayer.
The movement of the faucet from side-to-side is smooth, and the lever is easy to operate. The width of the lever is very useful for individuals who may have trouble grasping some of the more narrow ones available. Further, it is easier to keep clean for when one has doughy hands as it can be bumped from the underside rather than having to be grasped and, consequently, becoming covered with dough. The directions in which the lever moves to turn on and for changing water temperatures is intuitive, unlike some other faucet brands and models. I currently have a Jado faucet in my kitchen which has a lever that moves to the right to turn on and then moves up or down to adjust the water temperature. It has been a nightmare for guests in my home as they have not had time to ingrain the operating pattern and think that moving the lever up or down will turn the faucet on.
The sleek, contemporary design works well in most kitchens or laundry rooms. I have this particular model in Starlight Chrome my laundry room and love the high arch on the faucet; it has proven particularly useful when I need to fill buckets. The movement of the faucet allows me to rinse the laundry room sink from side-to-side and compensates for the fact that I do not have a spray nozzle. The chrome is easy to clean, simply spray with clear Windex and wipe it dry.
I have just purchased and will have the brushed nickel model installed in my kitchen to replace the Jado which I dislike intensely. The brushed nickel is close in color and finish to most stainless appliances. Since this model is no longer available in stainless, the brushed nickel is the finish you should select if you want your kitchen/laundry room to have consistent metal finishes.
Hard water in our area causes unsightly water spots on the brushed nickle finish. Grohe recommended several products - rather expensive ones - for cleaning regularly. Again, the sales woman at our plumbing supply store saved the day. She suggested using white vinegar, so I put some in a spray bottle and use it, as necessary, to get the faucet and side spray sparkling clean. All it takes is the effort required to dry the faucet completely.

If you choose to purchase this item on-line, be sure your seller is an authorized Grohe dealer. Some manufacturers will not honor warranties on items purchased on-line from unauthorized dealers or from auction sites.
