Rustica Collection Cup Pull, 2 3/4" C-C Review

(More customer reviews)These cup pulls really weren't what I was looking for. I thought they were, but when I got them, I found there was no 'rustica' look about them at all. They were a solid dull-silver color.
However, I had some Goo-Gone lying around(You can google that if interested), and put some on the end of a Q-tip. I then rubbed the creases of the cup pull with the Q-tip, just a little bit, and the silver started coming off so the black could be seen thru it.
They look really good now. Antiquey, but with a modern/Old World feel. I matched these with some smaller, but more expensive drawer pulls, and they look like a set. I searched high and low for drawer pulls with these measurements, that had this look, and wasn't about to send them back.
All in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Moen T3111 Kingsley Moentrol Valve Trim Review

(More customer reviews)What a difference over the old chrome trim kit that came with the house. The product is very easy to install. However, I had an older version of the Moentrol valve that required an adapter plate that simply screws onto the old mounting holes and provides the newer 45 degree angled mounting holes of the currently manufactured style trim kits. Not sure what the difference is for mounting the holes in different places. I think manufacturers do this sometimes just to sell more products. I upgraded and selected the oil rubbed bronze finish and also purchased the bath spout, overflow cap and matching drain. I would not recommend trying to match this finish with another manufacturer in the oil rubbed bronze if you want an identical finish. It was worth it to match the drain, overflow and spout to the valve trim. I did however, manage to select a different brand (Delta In2ition) in a similar finish (Venetian Bronze) and it matches nicely though there is a slight difference as the Venetian Bronze of the Delta shower head is slightly darker. This is not very noticable at all as the shower head is up higher and the valve trim is down lower. Would have purchased a Moen shower head but they don't make a comperabe product that I am aware of that matches the Delta In2ition combo shower/handheld unit.

Opella 201.245.110G 6" Shower Head Chrome Review

(More customer reviews)Just received it yesterday; took a shower this morning. It's "okay" - not much pressure because of the broad expanse of the shower head, but it's really quite okay. I believe it was designed to be more of a like a rain shower anyway. My spigot is also not as high above the bathtub as those I've seen on TV, so that may also be a factor. Either way, I like it. Not elated - but I like it.

Broan-Nutone 15BL Broan Elite 15" Compactor with Black Door Review

(More customer reviews)We have had a compactor since 1967. They normally last 10 years+. The last one though, a Whirlpool lasted only 2 years and that was a troublesome 2 years. I decided to replace it with the more expensive Broan with it's bigger motor.
My main complaint after a week's use. Instead of just kicking the toe piece and having the drawer pop out as other compactors build them you must open the cabinet door on the Broan, then bend over and pull out the drawer. No handle on the drawer either! What's with this? Open a door, bend over, pull out the drawer, throw your napkin in the bin, push the drawer shut, then close the drawer! I'm in my twilight years. Bending over is not high on my list of want to do things. What genius engineered that? Couldn't they at least have spring loaded the drawer so that it would pop out a bit when the door was opened?
Now the good part. The compactor cycle is quiet and VERY powerful! Sounds like a swiss watch with no squeaks and groans. The extra PAC works well. Don't buy a compactor without this feature. The drawer does slide out easily and it just appears sturdier then the other compactors. Also the drawer is not accordion pleated like most compactors. That should make it much, much easier to clean. The bags are much easier to put in it because you don't have that interference at the front where the drawer and the door are of one piece design.
Bottom line: Worth the extra expense but the two step process to throw away garbage is definitely two steps backwards! Are you listening Broan?

(More customer reviews)We had 3 different faucet mount water filters. The Pur and Dupont were poor for different and various reasons. Ultimately, I found the faucet mount Crystal Quest model which was much more economical and worked better as well. The problem with faucet mount filters is that they are bulky and in the way. Since we liked the Crystal Quest model, we ordered their under counter model (W12) that has a water dispenser using the water sprayer (useless) sink hole. I did have it installed by a plumber when we had some other work done. That was about 2 months ago. It has been trouble free. The water tastes better. The unit seems to be made of high quality materials. The sink mounted dispenser is great. We like this filter a lot.

Cheap materials, underpowered steam generators, flimsy construction, not to mention an assembly "manual" so absurd that it's better suited for comedy than information (except for the unfortunate owners, of course). This thing was so bad that I told the owner (who had made the purchase) that I would need a signed release of liability from him before installing it. Fortunately, he thought better of it and decided to install a real shower rather than throw any more money away.

I bought my new sink online, and I love it. It is very heavy and sturdy, and looks great. I put it in a 1929 house - it fits the era, but somehow looks like it could be in a modern kitchen.
Some notes -- it requires an extended flange for the insikerator garbage disposal, which is about impossible to find. I should have ordered it with the sink. I had to go to 6 hardware stores to find it and it was $70.
My contractor had to make a custom steel support for it as it weighs 205lbs - he was concerned about the weight when filled with water.
I also got the Rohl U4719L faucet to go with the sink, and could not be happier.

Installed this flange about 5 months ago. The flange color was a nice match to the sink and faucet, but hardly durable. The flange scratches very easily and in no time at all looks terrible. If you are looking for something that maintains its color and finish, look for a different product.
