(More customer reviews)My wife and I desperately needed a new faucet for our kitchen sink and after lots of looking, shopping, arguing, and "flip-flopping" we both finally agreed on this one. We wanted single handle operation so the other hand could hold a pot to be filled. We wanted a sprayer, but only had three holes available (the fourth has the aerator which we didn't want to mess with). I also wanted a relatively high reaching spout to easily fit a large pot under. This was one of the few, economical faucets that met all of these requirements.
The faucet arrived within a few days and it took more work to take out the old one that to put this one in! The instructions are a bit lame in some ways. For example, I found it easier to attach the feed hoses to the faucet first before putting the faucet on the sink. I put a small "rope" of plumbers putty around the outside edge of the plastic piece in between it and the faucet itself. I also put a small bead of silicone caulk around the bottom of the plastic piece between it and the sink. Probably overkill, but it seemed to work fine. I also used Teflon tape on the feed lines (which I bought from the local hardware store). Speaking of feed lines, be sure to measure the distance between the faucet and the shutoff valves; my old faucet used a different length. Also, my old faucet had smaller connectors. I took one of the nuts included with the faucet to the store with me and matched that to a feed hose of the proper length and it was a snap from there.
I thought the sprayer was a bit lower quality than the faucet as it is all plastic, but it works fine and we don't use it as much as the faucet. The connector where the sprayer attaches to the faucet under the counter seemed a bit dubious too, but it seems to work fine and doesn't drip at all (knock on wood!). I suppose that's the only reason for the slightly lower rating on this -- the plastic sprayer. It would be nice if it was metal like the faucet, but hey, for the price you can't beat it and I'm really ok with it...
Also, in case you don't catch it in the fine print... The funny little blue wing-nut thingy is really a small tool for removing the aerator from under the spout. It took me a little while before I saw that on the last page of the instructions.
My wife hasn't stopped smiling and saying how much she likes her new faucet and how smoooooooooooooooth it operates. We were joking that we could turn it on and off with our pinkie fingers! Definitely lots of "spouse points" on this one!!
