(More customer reviews)I purchased this faucet because my wife liked the design, and how it looked. It was not a cheap faucet.
The two copper faucet inlets that are connected to this faucet are the shortest I have ever seen. This caused two problems: one, I had to purchase longer supply lines, and, two, the inlets are so short that it makes for a much more difficult installation due to the lack of working space between the outside wall of the sink and the outside wall. Moen faucets now come with built-in 30 inch inlets. Contrast this with the 4 to 6 inch inlets provided with this Price Pfister.
After the installation, I discovered that both the water flow as well as the water pressure seemed poor. Additionally, the sprayer did not work. What was going on? I knew that a newer faucet would not deliver the same water flow when compared to my twenty year old Delta. Newer federal and state laws restricted the flow volume to 2.2 gallons per minute. I was experiencing less than 1 gpm flow rate. I have a well that cycles between 30 and 50 pounds per square inch of pressure, but that couldn't explain my problem.
If you are thinking that the aerator is plugged with debris or that the supply lines are kinked, you would be wrong. I checked all of that.
After much web research, I discovered that others had experienced a similar problem, and that they had either replaced or simply removed the sprayer diverter (part 974-012.)
After removing the sprayer diverter, and not replacing it with a new one, my pressure and flow problems are over. Now the sprayer works, although some water still flows out of the spout while using the sprayer. Now that I have normal flow, I can live with that.
The documentation that came with the faucet was poor at best, and it was difficult to see how to locate and remove the diverter. If you make the mistake of purchasing this faucet, and have the same problem that I and others had, remove the diverter. It can be removed from the back of the mounting shank after removing the sleeve.
While researching my flow/pressure problem, I discovered numerous complaints about the soap dispenser included with this set. However, I haven't been using it long enough to encounter problems with the soap dispensered.
