We originally intended on getting a knock-off from China that was 100-200 less than what we paid for this sink, however, they were out of stock and wanted to make sure we had the sink we wanted for our remodel. This sink came in less than a week and arrived in perfect condition.
The sink itself is gorgeous. I was worried it would be too deep to comfortably wash the dishes that need to be done by hand. It's a great depth and will allow us to wash even giant pots and pans.
Our architect had specified this sink due to its square corners and I was worried that it would be difficult to keep clean. This is still to be seen. But our plumber recommended Sheila Shine for polishing and Dow scrubbing bubbles foam for cleaning. That combo leaves this sink sparkling.
Also, I was slightly concerned about the 18 gauge stainless steel used in this sink, as opposed to 16 gauge which is used in some others and is slightly thicker. Seems like the 18 gauge is fine.
Another concern I had was the sound of the sink when the water hits it. We have an open kitchen and wanted everything to be quiet, including the dishwasher. But my worries turned out to be unwarranted. This sink is not loud and does not echo when the water from the faucet hits it.
All told, if you're up for spending more than $700 for a kitchen sink and you want a contemporary look, this sink is unbeatable.
