The packaging was damaged and the seat had some dents and discoloration but I decided to live with it ... but now, after only 2 months of use, the lid is coming off the hinge attachments and I can't tighten it because the screwmounts are stripped. This is not something related to installation, it had to have come this way. My old seat was more than 20 years old and looked and worked great but it was the wrong color. This one isn't going to last a year.
